Our Strategic Objectives

RAINS’ strategic objectives serve as the foundation of our work, shaping how we design and implement programs that respond to the unique needs of marginalized communities. These objectives reflect our commitment to inclusive development, rights promotion, and sustainable change.

We prioritize the rights of children and other vulnerable groups, focusing on access to basic quality education including Early Childhood Education (ECE) and Inclusive Education (IE). Our work addresses Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (GESI), Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR), and Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH). We also equip out-of-school youth, especially girls, with life skills while safeguarding them from exploitation and trafficking.

We work to strengthen the voices of citizens and promote democratic, responsive, and accountable governance systems. This includes enabling the participation of women and vulnerable groups in local governance, advancing land rights, and engaging with institutions to promote transparency, responsiveness, and social cohesion.

In response to the challenge of youth unemployment, RAINS facilitates skills development, apprenticeships, and access to livelihood opportunities for young people. We focus on overcoming barriers such as lack of experience, work-readiness services, access to finance, and entrepreneurial skills—empowering youth to transition into adulthood with sustainable livelihoods.

Our Thematic Areas

RAINS’ work is organized around a set of thematic areas that reflect the diverse and interconnected needs of the communities we serve. These focus areas allow us to apply tailored strategies and deepen our impact across education, health, governance, and environmental sustainability.
